Common questions.
How far ahead should I book?
For gorilla permits, 3—6 months is safe. For trips without permits, 4—6 weeks is usually enough. Last-minute trips are possible but availability narrows.
Do you run group tours?
No. Every trip is private. Your vehicle, your guide, your schedule. We cap party size at eight — and most of our trips are couples or families of four.
What's included in the price?
Transport, accommodation, park fees, guide, and most meals. Gorilla permits are quoted separately because they're paid directly to UWA. We itemise everything so you know where the money goes.
Can I customise an existing itinerary?
That's the idea. Pick one as a starting point, tell us what to add or drop, and we'll rebuild it around your dates and budget.
Is Uganda safe for tourists?
Yes. Uganda's tourist corridors — the national parks and the roads between them — are safe, well-patrolled, and have been stable for over two decades. Our guides know every road and every checkpoint.
What about tipping?
Guides and porters appreciate tips but never expect them. If you'd like guidance, we send a tipping guide with your final itinerary — typical ranges, who to tip, and how.
